merebase is operated by MOHO & Cave Pty Ltd (ABN 27 657 476 563), based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. References to "we", "us", or "merebase" in this policy mean MOHO & Cave Pty Ltd.

This policy explains how we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

What we collect and why

We collect personal information only when you provide it directly to us. We do not collect data passively beyond standard server logs.

  • Name and email address — collected when you join the builders list, The Yard waitlist, or submit a contact or get-started form. Used to respond to your enquiry or send you the notification you asked for.
  • Message content — collected when you use the contact or get-started form. Used to respond to your enquiry. Not stored beyond what is necessary to handle the request.
  • Payment information — collected by Stripe when you purchase a The Yard membership. We do not store or have access to your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.

We do not collect information you do not knowingly provide. We do not use tracking pixels, behavioural advertising, or third-party analytics that profile individual visitors.

How we store and protect it

Email addresses collected via waitlist and contact forms are stored in MailerLite, our email platform. MailerLite's servers are located outside Australia. By providing your email address you consent to this transfer. MailerLite is GDPR-compliant and operates under appropriate data processing agreements.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. We do not retain personal information longer than is necessary for the purpose it was collected.

How we use it

  • To respond to enquiries you send us
  • To send you the notification you specifically requested (launch updates, The Yard opening)
  • To process and manage your The Yard membership
  • To send membership-related communications (receipts, updates)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not send unsolicited commercial email.

Third parties

We share only the minimum information each service requires to function. We do not use advertising networks, social media tracking pixels, or data brokers.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date
  • Ask us to delete your information (subject to any legal obligations to retain it)
  • Unsubscribe from any email communications at any time
